Created in 2015, the Institute of Research and Training in Islamic Finance (IRFFI) is an institution accredited by the State — Ministry of Vocational Training and Education — for training, consulting and publishing.

Who we are
Since its creation, the institute has trained professionals in Islamic finance and banking, as well as in business management. It develops skills and qualifies human resources through programmes and certifications recognised at national and international level, offered in collaboration with reference bodies such as AAOIFI, CIBAFI and COSOB, and designed according to the latest professional standards and the requirements of practice. It now widens its action to consulting, support for financial institutions and scientific publishing.

An international non-profit organisation founded by an agreement signed in Algiers on 26 February 1990, now headquartered in Bahrain. It standardises and harmonises Islamic finance practice — Sharia, accounting, audit, governance and ethics standards — applied in many countries. With IRFFI: Preparation and exam sessions in accounting, audit and Sharia control, leading to professionally recognised international certifications.
General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial InstitutionsCIBAFI
Created on the initiative of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), CIBAFI is a key player of the international Islamic financial system. It supports and promotes Sharia-compliant finance around the world. With IRFFI: The Certified Islamic Banker (CIB), specialist certificates and professional diplomas, to master the best Islamic financial practices.
Algerian stock exchange regulatorCOSOB
The regulatory authority of the Algerian financial market. By an agreement signed on 20 April 2026, COSOB and IRFFI jointly deliver a certification dedicated to Islamic financial market professionals. With IRFFI: The Certificate of Islamic Financial Market Professionals (CPMFI): 6 units, 23 days.
